How it works
- Buy a credit pack on Gumroad with the same email you'll use to sign in.
- Upload your EPUB at readtome.online and pick a voice. Conversion takes a few minutes per book.
- Download the MP3 to your device — or use the iOS app, which auto-downloads new books and plays them offline.

Roughly two full-length novels, depending on length. Unused hours never expire.
Privacy
Plain-English summary of what read-to-me collects, where it lives, and how long we keep it. We don't sell your data, and we don't show you ads.
What we collect
- Your email address. Used to sign you in (we send you a magic link instead of asking for a password) and to match your Gumroad purchase to your account.
- The EPUB you upload, while we convert it. Stored in Google Cloud Storage in the United States.
- The MP3 we produce, until you've had a chance to download it.
- Your credit balance and a log of how each credit was spent (one entry per book).
- Order records from Gumroad — your email, the product you bought, the amount. We never see your card details; Gumroad handles payment.
How long we keep it
- Uploaded EPUBs: deleted within 24 hours of upload, whether conversion succeeded or not.
- Generated MP3s: deleted 30 days after they finish processing. Download the file in that window if you want to keep it. The iOS app does this automatically the first time you open a new book.
- Account and credit history: kept until you ask us to delete them.
Who we share it with
We use three external services to make read-to-me work:
- Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in. Your email and credit history live there.
- Google Cloud stores your files (Cloud Storage) and runs the text-to-speech (Vertex AI). Your book's text passes through Google during conversion.
- Gumroad processes payments.
That's the entire list. We don't use analytics, trackers, or ad networks.
Deleting your data
Email support@readtome.online from the address on your account and we'll wipe your account and credit history. Files (EPUBs, MP3s) age out on the schedule above regardless.
